Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Report
Skydance Paramount plans to begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs within a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, with the company planning to disclose all specifics in its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates suggested that Paramount aimed to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, Paramount employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond on the matter.
